Former Teacher From Ashburn Charged In Undercover Child Exploitation Case
An Ashburn man who was a teacher has been charged after sexually inappropriate communications with a detective posing as a minor.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — An Ashburn man was arrested by Fairfax County Police in an undercover child exploitation case online. Police say he was formerly a teacher at a private school.
In July, David Mark Sabin, 38, of Ashburn contacted an undercover detective posing as a minor online. Police say Sabin started inappropriate conservations and planning to travel to Fairfax County for unlawful sexual acts. Sabin believed the undercover detective was really a 14-year-old. Further investigation revealed Sabin communicated with a detective posing as a minor online in October 2024.
On Monday, detectives obtained a search warrant from Sabin's home and executed it with help from Virginia State Police and the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Sabin was arrested and charged with four counts of solicitation of a minor, two counts of production of child sexual abuse material, attempted aggravated sexual battery, attempted object sexual penetration, attempted sodomy, attempted indecent liberties. He was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention center and is being held without bond.
Sabin taught at the Oak Hill Christian School in the McNair area of Fairfax County, but the school has fired him.
