Teen Girl On Scooter Dies After Crash At Loudoun Intersection: Police

STERLING, VA — A teen girl was struck while riding a scooter in Loudoun County Monday night, according to Virginia State Police. The teen died at the hospital on Tuesday.

State police are investigating the crash around 7:30 p.m. Monday at Nokes Boulevard and City Center Boulevard in Sterling. Police say a 13-year-old girl was trying to cross the intersection on a scooter when a westbound driver on Nokes Boulevard struck the teen. The investigation found the teen was not wearing a helmet, and the crash location was not within a crosswalk.

The girl was taken to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries and died of her injuries on Tuesday. Juvenile victims are not identified by police.
