Loudoun Businesses Invited to "Going Solar" Event Dec. 3

The Local Energy Alliance Program is hosting an event Dec. 3 for local business owners to explore the benefits of "going solar."

Business in Loudoun County and Northern Virginia are invited to join the Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP) Dec. 3 to explore “Why So Many Businesses are Going Solar.”

The event, which includes a presentation and reception, takes place Wednesday, Dec. 3 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Catoctin Creek Distilling Company, located at 120 W. Main Street Purcellville.

Local business owners are invited to hear firsthand stories on the ROI for commercial properties, including Catoctin Creek Distilling Company’s own solar installation that offsets roughly 85 percent of the operation’s electrical usage.

The reception will include remarks from Scott Harris of Catoctin Creek, the Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP) and Solarize NOVA, and representatives from local solar contractors. Guests are invited to enjoy a tasting and light fare while mingling with other local business owners.
