LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Loudoun County Public Schools will see an adjusted school day on Feb. 11 due to the approaching winter storm.

Schools and administrative offices will close three hours early on Feb. 11, which accounts for predicted afternoon snowfall. Bus routes will operate three hours earlier for drop-offs. Half-day programs and after-school activities are cancelled.

The Loudoun County School Board meeting scheduled for Feb. 11 will be rescheduled to Feb. 13, with a work session starting at 4:30 p.m.

LCPS said it will continue to monitor the weather and inform families of changes.

Loudoun County and the rest of the region are under a winter storm warning from 1 p.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service said. Forecasters are calling for 4 to 8 inches of snow.
