From Loudon County Public Library: Loudoun County Public Library readers check out about 6 million books, e-books, audiobooks, and other library materials each year. What were the most popular titles circulated throughout the library system during 2016?
Mirroring national trends, Loudoun readers chose Paula Hawkins’ “The Girl on the Train” most often in the adult fiction category. In adult non-fiction, neurosurgeon Paul Kalanithi’s memoir of his cancer diagnosis, “When Breath Becomes Air,” topped the list. Teens read this fall’s movie feature, “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children,” while children’s author Mo Willems was a Loudoun County favorite.
