Loudoun Fall Farm Tour Promises Animals, More Agricultural Fun

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Two times a year, farms around Loudoun County open their gates and barn doors to give visitors a taste of the agricultural life. The next event focuses on the fall harvest season.

The Loudoun Fall Farm Tour, one of two farm tours held in the county each year, is scheduled for Oct. 19 and 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participating farms will offer family-friendly activities, farm tours, local food tastings, visits with animals and learning experiences about the farms. Some of the animals visitors can meet are donkeys, goats, pigs, alpacas and llamas.

"The Loudoun Fall Farm Tour is always a blast," said Buddy Rizer, executive director of Loudoun Economic Development. "It's a great way to enjoy the fall season, connect with our local farmers, and have some family fun in the countryside. Whether you’re exploring a farm for the first time or returning for a favorite activity, the weekend is packed with opportunities to learn, eat, and enjoy everything Loudoun’s farms have to offer."

Along with activities offered on farms, visitors have a chance to win the Western Loudoun VIP Getaway packages with exclusive experiences, and treats from Loudoun County. Two visitors who check in at a participating farm are entered to win.
