Loudoun Schools Adjust Schedule On Jan. 7
Loudoun County Public Schools will have a second day of schedule changes from the winter storm.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Students' winter break just got extended once again due to the winter storm.
Loudoun County Public Schools announced it will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 7. That applies to schools, administrative offices and activities on school campuses. The Loudoun County School Board meeting was rescheduled to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9.
Total snow accumulations will be between 6 and 10 inches, although isolated areas could get up to 12 inches. Traces of ice are also possible. Snow totals collected by National Weather Service trained spotters ranged from 4 inches to 5.6 inches in Loudoun County.

The region remains under a winter storm warning until 1 a.m. Tuesday. Snowfall will end Monday night, but road conditions may continue to be hazardous as freezing temperatures linger and snow removal continues.
