Loudoun Teacher Assistant Faces Public Intoxication Charge At School
A special education teacher assistant is on leave in light of a drunk in public charge from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

STERLING, VA — A teacher assistant at a Loudoun County school faces a drunk in public charge tied to time at school, according to the sheriff's office.
Around 11:55 a.m. Friday, a school resource officer responded to a report of a teacher assistant possibly intoxicated while at Park View High School. An investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office led to Travis Jones being charged with drunk in public. He was taken to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center and released on his own recognizance.
The Park View High School website identifies Jones as a special education teacher assistant. A Loudoun County Public Schools spokesperson said the teacher assistant was put on leave before the arrest by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
