The Meadows Original Frozen Custard To Make Exit From One Loudoun
The Meadows, a favorite for frozen custard, sundaes and shakes, is preparing to close its One Loudoun location in Ashburn.

ASHBURN, VA — Fans of Meadows frozen custard and shakes will soon have to look elsewhere to satisfy their sweet tooth.
First reported by The Burn, The Meadows Original Frozen Custard will close at One Loudoun. The business shared on Facebook that the shop will be closed in December. The Burn's report cited competition from Fantasticks and The Yard Milkshake Bar. The Meadows at One Loudoun location dates back to 2014.
"This decision was not made lightly, as we had hoped to remain open for many years to come," the business shared on Facebook. "For over 10 years, we have had the immense pleasure of serving you delicious treats and being a part of this wonderful community. We are incredibly grateful for all the support you have shown us throughout the years."

Meadows Original Frozen Custard is a franchise started in 1950 by J.V., Richard and Delbert Meadows. The first business was a custard stand in Duncansville, Pennsylvania, which is now a full shop still operated by the Delbert Meadows's sons today. Other locations are in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Georgia, Texas and even Australia.
The Meadows encouraged customers to visit the One Loudoun location for a treat in the final months.

The business is hoping to open in a new location nearby. The only other location in the greater DC-Baltimore region is in Columbia, Maryland. Customers can follow the business to get future updates.
