Electric vehicle drivers will pay a fee for use of three new charging stations in Loudoun County.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — As electric vehicle charging options expand in Loudoun County, drivers will have to pay for the use of chargers.
Loudoun County is opening three new electric vehicle charging stations — at Bluemont Community Center (33846 Snickersville Turnpike in Bluemont), Middleburg Library (101 Reed St. in Middleburg) and Sterling Community Center (120 Enterprise St. in Sterling). Bluemont Community Center and Middleburg Library will each allow for simultaneous charging for two vehicles, and Sterling Community Center can allow simultaneous charging for three vehicles.
The cost to use the electric chargers is $2.10 per session, which begins when the vehicle is plugged in and ends when charging is done or the plug is removed. Car owners can only pay at the charging station through a mobile app connected to a credit or debit card.
