NextPhase Fitness Opens in Ashburn
Two brothers have opened a new fitness studio that specializes in group exercise classes.

Co-owners and brothers, Doug and Dan Frantzen have opened a new gym, NextPhase Fitness, which focuses on group exercise classes that deploy a form of high-intensity interval training (HIIT), where heart rate monitoring technology is used, to guide participants through various levels of their heart rate.
“We use all sorts of high-end and custom equipment throughout the classes, and rotate through cardio and resistance training so it’s an extremely well-balanced workout,” said Doug Frantzen. “There is nothing generic about what we do.”

Doug Frantzen left his job at Deloitte as a business consultant, to focus on his passion of health and exercise while Dan Frantzen is working at Accenture and supporting the business simultaneously.
“We have a wealth of knowledge from our athletic experiences, including as D1 Athletes at Virginia Tech, weight lifting competitions, and Dan’s military background so we want to help share that knowledge and inspire healthier lifestyles in the community,” Doug Frantzen added.
