New Winery Focused On Sparkling Wine Opens In Loudoun County
Loudoun County, already home to a wide variety of wineries, has a new sparkling winery with an upcoming grand opening.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Loudoun County is home to many wineries just a drive away from the Northern Virginia suburbs, and now there's one solely focused on sparkling wines.
Petit Domaine, located at 37938 Charles Town Pike in Hillsboro, will have its grand opening at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24. Remarks and a ribbon cutting will be followed by tastings of its debut sparkling wines and seasonal foods as well as tours.
Petit Domaine, named for the French phrase for "little estate," is believed to be the first of its kind in Virginia. The winery produces traditional method sparkling wines.

"A sparkling winery brings a different energy to the wine experience," said J Snyder, a Loudoun County native and founder of Petit Domaine. "We are specialists in the wine, but we’re also a place for celebration and an elevated hospitality and lifestyle experience. Our goal is to add that dimension to the region’s already remarkable wine landscape."

The winery serves sparkling wine and food program developed with help from Michelin-Starred Chef Eric Ziebold of Kinship and Métier in Washington, D.C. The estate-made wine is in production, but there are limited offering made by Head Winemaker Shai Van Gelder in the initial years. In the meantime, the winery has partnered with a premier cru Champagne house to produce its wines.
