Racial Slurs Yelled During Road Rage Attack In Ashburn: LCSO

A man was arrested after a road rage attack in Ashburn during which he yelled racial slurs and began banging on the victim's windshield.

ASHBURN, VA—A man was arrested Friday after a road rage incident in the 20000 block of Ashburn Road during which he repeatedly yelled racial slurs at another driver and then began banging on the other man's windshield, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. John W. Diloreta, 50, of Ashburn, was charged with assault and battery.

Around 4:30 p.m., police went to the aforementioned area for a reported assault. When the victim pulled into a shopping center parking lot, Diloreta followed before approaching him while yelling racial slurs. That's when the victim got back in his vehicle and call police.

Diloreta then began banging on the windshield before finally leaving the area and thus avoiding the arriving authorities. But police later found him at his home and arrested him.
