Rai's Pizza Closes At Ashburn Ice House, Prepares For Relocation

ASHBURN, VA — Ashburn Ice House visitors will no longer be able to pop in to Rai's Pizza for a slice in between their skates.

Rai's Pizza Ashburn announced it had closed Monday at the Ashburn Ice House (21595 Smith Switch Rd Unit B, Ashburn, VA). However, the pizza shop will open just a few minutes away next to Rai's Rendezvous Kitchen + Bar (44042 Pipeline Plaza, Ashburn, VA). It hinted that the new location could be open in a matter of weeks.

Rai's Pizza had opened at the Ashburn Ice House in January 2023, following the closing of Pomodoro Pizza, Pasta & More reported by The Burn. The Rai's Pizza owners thanked Ashburn Ice House and the community for being welcoming and encouraged customers to visit its Sterling location (21430 Cedar Drive, Sterling, VA) in the meantime.

"Thank you for all the love and support — we've truly felt in every step of the way," Rai's Pizza shared on social media. "This isn't goodbye, Ashburn...just a 'see you soon.'"

Even with the departure of Rai's, pizza will return to the ice rink complex. As reported by The Burn, a restaurant called Slice Theory will take over the Rai's Pizza space.
