2 People Dead In Sterling Shooting, Fundraiser Started For 1 Victim
A fundraiser for one of the shooting victims identifies them as a girlfriend and boyfriend.

STERLING, VA — The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that killed a woman and man in Sterling Wednesday morning.
Around 4:33 a.m., the sheriff's office responded to a dispute in the 21000 block of Ridgetop Circle and found two people with gunshot wounds. They were taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
The victims were identified as Mijal Conejero-Romera, 22, of Sterling, and Diego Alexander Woollett, 22, of Arlington.

No suspects have been identified.
A GoFundMe fundraiser to help Mijal Conejero-Romera's family identified the victim as a girlfriend and boyfriend. Fundraiser organizer Diane McNeil, who is an in-law of Conejero-Romera's sister, said that the family does not have much money and needs to plan a funeral. The funeral may happen on Sept. 5, depending on when authorities release Conejero-Romera's body.

"She was such a sweet young lady. I've known her since [she] was 8. We've always thought of her family, my daughter-in- law, as our family," McNeil wrote.
