Single-Vehicle Crash Kills Man In Loudoun County: Police

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA—A man was killed Sunday in a single-vehicle crash on Harpers Ferry Road just south of Jefferson Pike, according to Virginia State Police. Ira T. Jones, 63, of Martinsburg, W.Va., was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police found that around 10:45 a.m., a 1991 Volvo 940 GLE ran off the right side of Harpers Ferry Road, hit several trees and went over an embankment before coming to rest of the bottom of a 70-foot ravine. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
