Suspicious Man Approaches Girl In Sterling: LCSO

Police are on the lookout for a suspicious man who tried to interact with a girl Tuesday afternoon in Sterling, according to the LCSO.

STERLING, VA—Police are on the lookout for a suspicious man who tried to interact with a girl Tuesday afternoon in the area of Hardwood Forest Drive and Sterdley Falls Terrace, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt but no other description was provided.

Around 2:45 p.m., a resident's juvenile daughter was walking in the aforementioned area when she was approached by a suspicious man. He asked her where she lived, but she didn't "provide any information," and the man walked away from the area. "Directed patrol" has been assigned to the area.
