Suspicious Man Offers Child Ride In Ashburn: LCSO
Authorities are looking for an unknown man who asked a child to get into his car in Ashburn, says the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

ASHBURN, VA—Authorities are looking for an unknown man who asked a child to get into his car in the area Thursday, April 11, in the 21800 block of Kings Crossing Terrace, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said Monday. He was driving a grey car, and a description of race was vague.
This past Friday, a resident reported that the previous day, an unknown person in a vehicle "approached their child and asked him to get into the car to help look for another juvenile in the area." The child promptly ran home. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-777-0407.
Several similar incidents have been reported of late, and two turned out to be nothing. On Monday, April 8, police responded to the area of Spotswood Road and Bickel Court and found that an unknown man appeared to be taking pictures from his vehicle of either a school bus or students. On Monday, April 15, however, the LCSO said "the driver of the vehicle in the case was identified and it was determined nothing suspicious occurred."

And on Saturday, April 6, in Ashburn in the area of Fowlers Mills Circle and Bruceton Mills Circle. Around 12:15 p.m., police were dispatched to the scene for a reported suspicious driver in which the driver motioned to the complainant's children to come toward his vehicle. Police later identified the driver and determined there was no reason for alarm. The driver was seeking directions in the area after visiting a home in the community, LCSO spokesman Kraig Troxell said.
