Traffic Alert: Expect Delays in Loudoun This Weekend

Events at Broad Run High School, the Lovettsville Community and more may cause some delays in and around Loudoun County this weekend.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is alerting drivers across the county to road closures and potential traffic delays in the area this weekend.

  • Broad Run High School will hold their Homecoming Parade from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 31. Roads impacted include Michener Drive, Hemingway Drive, Faulkner Road and Ashburn Road.
  • The Lovettsville Community Center will hold an event on Oct. 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Residents should expect additional traffic on Broad Way.
  • An event in Hillsboro between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Oct. 31 may impact traffic on Route 9 in the area.
  • An event at the Cornerstone Chapel between 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on October 31 may impact traffic on Sycolin Road.
  • Area Boy Scouts will be walking throughout the county during the day on Nov. 1 for an annual scouting event.
  • A 5k in the area of Palisades Parkway and Cascades Parkway on Nov. 2 may cause some delays between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Motorists are asked to please be patient, drive safely, follow all law-enforcement direction and have a safe weekend.
