UPDATE: MWAA Police Officer Shot, Wife Charged
A release from the sheriff's office classified the incident as a 'domestic in nature.'

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim of Friday night shooting in Sterling as Steven Spradling, 52, a member of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department.
Investigators have charged Rosangela Spradling, 42, with first-degree murder and are holding her at the Loudoun County jail. The Washington Post reported that Rosangela Spradling is Steven Spradling’s wife.
Deputies responded to the 21700 block of Blossom Drive in Sterling after receiving reports around 9 p.m. of a shooting and found Steven Spradling dead at the scene, according to an LCSO report.

Two children who were in the home at the time of the incident were not injured and are staying with friends, according to the report.
