STERLING, VA—A man was arrested Tuesday after using a stolen credit card believed to have been taken from a vehicle in the 400 block of West Maple Avenue during the overnight hours of Monday night, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. LCSO spokesman Kraig Troxell said Wednesday the incident likely is related to other thefts from vehicles in the area.

Wilber A. Zelaya-Herrara, 42, of Sterling, was charged with conspiracy to commit a felony, credit card theft and credit card fraud. Another suspect was identified but no details about his identity were released.

On Tuesday, a victim reported that an unlocked vehicle was entered, rummaged through and had multiple items stolen the previous night. Then the victim was notified by a credit card company that the stolen card was used as a gas station in Sterling. Police reviewed surveillance footage and were able to identify two suspects.
