• State audit questions safety at Bon Air youth prison (axios.com) — State auditors found serious documentation gaps at Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center in Chesterfield, raising questions about whether youth there are consistently getting required wellness checks, therapy and classes. Officials say the problems stem from outdated systems and staffing shortages, not unsafe conditions, and they’re rolling out new tracking, staffing and emergency procedures to address concerns.
