Best Of Braddock Awards Ceremony To Honor Community Members
The Best of Braddock Awards on Dec. 6 will honor people and organizations that have made the Braddock District a great place to live.

BURKE, VA — The Best of Braddock awards ceremony and reception will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at the Braddock District supervisor’s office in Burke.
The reception begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony for the winners. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and deserts will be served at the reception. The event is free and no RSVP is required.
The event will recognize people and organizations who have worked to make the Braddock District and the broader community a great place to live, work and play.

The Best of Braddock Awards, co-hosted by the Braddock District Council, will recognize honorees for Citizen of the Year, Young Person of the Year, Neighborhood Enhancement or Beautification, Most "Can-Do" Public Employee, Club or Organization Making a Difference, and Civic Engagement.
Outgoing Braddock District school board member Megan McLaughlin and incoming Braddock District school board member Rachna Sizemore Heiser will join Supervisor James Walkinshaw to honor the winners. Members of the Virginia General Assembly and other local officials have also been invited to the event.
