The BDC represents the interests of community associations in the Braddock District of Fairfax County. Along with a new website, the council recently created a Facebook page to pass along information to members.
"The Braddock District Council was established to provide a forum for member community associations to coordinate efforts in dealing with common issues and to have a meaningful seat at the table in dealings with the district supervisor’s office," BDC Chair Bob Cosgriff wrote in a message posted on the council's website. "The supervisor’s office, in turn, is the key to dealing with the various County agencies and departments who provide services to residents."

Membership on the council is open to all HOAs, civic or community associations as well as condo and pool associations in the Braddock District. The size of the member organization dictates the dues and the number of votes on the BDC, according to the council. The Braddock District includes about 120 associations that would be eligible to join the council.
