Burke Farmers Market To Open For 2023 Season

The Burke Farmers Market is returning for the season on Saturday, April 22, along with other park authority-operated markets.

BURKE, VA — Local produce and other foods are back for the 2023 season as the Burke Farmers Market prepares to open again in the Burke Centre VRE parking lot.

The 2023 Burke Farmers Market, operated by the Fairfax County Park Authority, will open on Saturday, April 22 and run through Dec. 16. Open from 8 a.m. to noon each Saturday, the farmer's market is located at 5671 Roberts Parkway in Burke.

Park authority-run markets feature locally-grown produce, baked goods, prepared foods and more products from local vendors. Participating vendors come from a 125-mile radius of Fairfax County, although there are a few exceptions for rare products.

Other park authority farmers markets opening in April are the McCutcheon/Mount Vernon Farmers Market and the Reston Farmers Market. The markets opening in May include Oak Marr (Oakton), Wakefield (Annandale), Annandale, Herndon, McLean, Kingstowne and Lorton.
