Burke Woman Accused of Passing Bad Checks: Police
Burke resident is the owner of two nail salons and is facing charges of passing bad checks, according to the Leesburg Police Department.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- A 48 year-old Burke resident has been arrested on various bad check offenses that occurred in Leesburg in 2016, according to the Leesburg Police Department.
In May of 2016, the police department was contacted by multiple citizens who reported that they had been issued bad checks by Tan Nguyen, who is also known as Candy Nguyen.
Subsequent to an investigation, Nguyen was charged with 2 counts of Bad Checks, 2 counts Bad Payroll Checks, and 1 count of Grand Larceny. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending both in Leesburg and other nearby jurisdictions. Nguyen is currently out on bond pending her preliminary hearing.
