Fredericksburg Man Faces Charges After Attempted Home Burglary in Burke: Police
Suspect faces charges after police were called to a home in Burke Friday; police say suspect was attempting to take property from garage.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Police say a Fredericksburg man is facing charges after he attempted to take property Friday afternoon from a garage in Burke.
Police say the incident took place Friday, when they were called shortly before 1 p.m. to a home in the 5500 block of Point Longstreet Way (see map below) in Burke.
Police say they received a report about a suspicious man attempting to take property from someone’s garage. When officers located the suspect, he fled, leading police on a chase, police said.

Brian Brown, 32, of Fredericksburg, was arrested, transported to a local hospital for minor injuries unrelated to the arrest, according to police, then taken to the adult detention center, where he was charged with burglary, felony petit larceny (3rd offense), and drunk in public.
