Masked Suspects Wielding Hammer, Gun Rob Motel Guests in Springfield
Armed robbery took place in the early hours at a Motel 6 in Springfield, according to police.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Three suspects, two armed with a gun and a hammer, robbed a group at a motel early Tuesday in Springfield, Fairfax County Police said.
The armed robbery took place at about 2:20 a.m. Tuesday at 6868 Springfield Blvd. at Motel 6, police said.
Officers responding to the report of a robbery determined that three men knocked on the door where a large group of people had gathered inside, police said. The men gained entry after someone opened the door and one suspect brandished a handgun, while another suspect brandished a hammer, according to police.

The suspects demanded money and property and several victims complied, police said. The suspects then fled in an unknown direction. The victims did not require any medical attention.
One suspect was described as black, heavy-set, with dred-lock style hair. The other two suspects were black and their faces were covered, according to police.
