Motorcyclist Dies From Injuries In Crash Near Burke Lake Park: Police
A man riding a motorcycle died after crashing on a road near Burke Lake Park Thursday afternoon, Fairfax County police said.
BURKE, VA — A man died from injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash on a road near Burke Lake Park Thursday afternoon, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
The crash happened at Henderson Road and Thistledown Trail. The man riding the motorcycle was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said shortly before 2:30 p.m.
Detectives from the police department's crash reconstruction unit arrived at the scene to investigate the crash, police said.

After the crash, Henderson Road was shut down in both directions between Route 123 and Hampton Road. The road reopened shortly before 4:30 p.m.
Police had not released the name of the man who died in the motorcycle crash as of Thursday night.
