Nomination Deadline Coming Up For 2022 Best Of Braddock Awards
Residents of Fairfax County's Braddock District are invited to nominate someone who made a difference in 2022 for a Best of Braddock award.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — Residents of Fairfax County's Braddock District are invited to nominate a neighbor, worker, or someone involved in the district who contributed to making the community a better place to live and work as part of the 2022 Best of Braddock awards.
People who have been recognized in the past include postal service carriers, crossing guards, volunteers with animal rescue groups, park volunteers, people helping with foster care, Fairfax County staff members and people who have shown kindness to their neighbors.
“I hope everyone will take a moment to consider a neighbor deserving of a Best of Braddock award,” Braddock District Supervisor James Walkinshaw said in a statement.

The deadline for submitting a nomination is Friday, Nov. 4. The five categories for the 2022 Best of Braddock awards are:
- Braddock District Citizen of the Year
- Braddock District Young Person of the Year
- Neighborhood Enhancement or Beautification in the Braddock District (individual homeowner, HOA/community association, or other group)
- Most “Can-Do” Public Employee Working on Issues in the Braddock District
- Club or Organization Making a Difference in the Braddock District
Residents can nominate as many people or organizations as they wish, but should use only one nomination form per person or group.

Residents should use this form to complete their 2022 Best of Braddock nominations. Nomination packets can be emailed to braddock@fairfaxcounty.gov, or mailed or delivered to the Braddock District Supervisor's Office at 9002 Burke Lake Road, Burke, VA 22015.

The Braddock District Council and the Braddock District Supervisor’s office will host an event to recognize the award winners. The event typically takes place at the Braddock District Supervisor’s office.
