Shot Man Found Lying On Capital Beltway Shoulder: Police
State police are investigating the discovery of a man with gunshot wounds found lying on the Capital Beltway in Fairfax County.

SPRINGFIELD, VA — A man with gunshot wounds was found lying on the shoulder of the Capital Beltway in Fairfax County Sunday, according to Virginia State Police.
State police had responded around 2:02 a.m. Sunday when a man was found lying on the shoulder of the northbound lanes near Exit 54 for Braddock Road. The man had multiple gunshot wounds and went to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police are actively investigating what led to the man being found on the Capital Beltway. The man was only identified as a 21-year-old Baltimore resident.
