Springfield Woman Charged In Crash That Killed 93-Year-Old Man: Police
Fairfax County Police charged a Springfield woman on Tuesday in connection with a fatal crash on Old Keene Mill Road in Burke, police said.
BURKE, VA — Fairfax County Police charged a Springfield woman in a Nov. 8 fatal crash on Old Keene Mill Rd. in Burke, the police department said Tuesday.
Jessica Bonilla Alfaro, 41, was driving above the speed limit and in a reckless manner when she crashed into a car at the intersection of Old Keene Mill Rd. and Huntsman Blvd., police said.
Fairfax County Police detectives served Bonilla Alfaro with a magistrate summons for reckless driving on Tuesday. She is scheduled to appear in court in February, police said.

Bonilla Alfaro was driving a 2016 Dodge Journey eastbound on Old Keene Mill Rd. at around 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 7 when she entered the intersection at Huntsman Blvd. and struck John Rowley, who was driving a 2017 Toyota Camry.
Rowley, 93, of Springfield was taken to a nearby hospital after the crash with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening at the time. But after his condition deteriorated, Rowley died at the hospital on Nov. 8.
