2 Juveniles Dead, 1 Hospitalized After Fairfax Station Crash: Police
Two juveniles died and another was injured in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday evening on Lee Chapel Road in Fairfax Station, police said.
FAIRFAX STATION, VA — Two juveniles died and one teenager was injured in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in Fairfax Station, according to Fairfax County Police.
The two juveniles were declared dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred in the 7500 block of Lee Chapel Road shortly before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. The teen was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
When they arrived at the scene, officers searched the area and found a 2019 Lexus IS350 off of the road. Fire and rescue personnel were able to remove the teenager, who was taken to the hospital.

Detectives determined the driver was traveling north on Lee Chapel Road. As the sedan crested a hill, the driver lost control, left the roadway and the vehicle came to rest on its roof. Detectives believe speed was a factor in the crash, police said. They do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Police did not say if the driver was one of the two people who died in the crash.

During their investigation into the crash, police closed Lee Chapel Road between Route 123 and Fairfax County Parkway.
Fairfax County Police said police departments are prohibited under Virginia law from providing information about juvenile victims unless parental consent is provided. The code prohibits Virginia law enforcement agencies from directly or indirectly identifying deceased juvenile victims of a crime.
This is the first fatal crash of 2023 in Fairfax County not involving a pedestrian, police said.
