Athletes Place High in Centreville Track and Field Events

This past weekend the CVHS track and field teams started their competition season with two back-to-back events. Friday night, Dec. 10, the team competed against Herndon and Westfield High Schools at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center in Arlington. Highlights included these athletes placing high in their events.  

Girls:  

Maryn Wood – 2^nd place, 55m hurdles

Elizabeth Johnson – 2^nd place, 1600m run

Kristy McKain – 3^rd place, 1600m run

Katie Hannah – 4^th place, 1600m run

Flo Duong – 3^rd place, High Jump

Tamara Wilson – 3^rd  place, 500m dash

Ashley Forbes – 3^rdplace, 1000m run

Emily McLenigan – 2^nd place, 3200m run

Valerie Cateriano – 3^rd place, 3200m run;  

Boys:  Brian Su - 3^rd place, 55m hurdles

Texas Williams – 1^st place, 55m dash

Ismail Al-Hammood – 4^thplace, 55m dash

Chase Heiner – 1^st place, 1600m run

Dan Molina – 2^nd place, 1600m run

Kip Talmon – 1^st place, 1000m run

Kurt Michaels – 2^nd place, 1000m run

Jimmy Choi – 3^rd place, 1000m run

Alex Marmol – 4^th place, 300m run

Sean Nguyen – 4^th place, 3200m run

Ismail Al-Hammood, Alex Marmol, Texas Williams, Chase Heiner – 1st place, 4x400 relay.
