Bicycle Thefts on the Rise

A look at some of the recent incidents in the Sully District.

Now that the warm weather appears to be here for good, many people are out and about on their bicycles. However, there's also been a corresponding increase in bicycle thefts in the Sully District, local police say.

Police suggest that you use two locks and never leave a bicycle unattended (even in your own yard). Away from home, always park in a location visible to people passing by. If you own a bicycle with quick-release wheels, lock both the frame and the wheel. Also record the serial number and keep it in a safe place, police suggest.
