Centre Ridge Students Experience Korean Culture at Smithsonian

The students were able to take a free bus tour to the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., thanks to the U.S.-Korea Arts Foundation.

Students, faculty and parents from Centre Ridge Elementary School got a taste of Korean culture on Saturday, as they traveled to the Korea Gallery at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C.

The nonprofit US-Korea Arts Foundation made the trip possible, as has done for a number of other Fairfax County Public Schools. The foundation, which was formed on August 2007, works with the Smithsonian's Korean Heritage Project to promote and preserve Korean heritage in the United States.
