1 Dead In Crash On I-66 In Manassas Area: State Police
State police say two vehicles were involved in the fatal crash on the morning of Christmas Eve.
MANASSAS, VA — One person died in a crash Christmas Eve morning in the Manassas area, according to Virginia State Police.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 5:17 a.m. Wednesday on eastbound Interstate 66 at the 48-mile marker, which is between the Route 234 and Route 29 exits. There was one reported death. The victim's identity will be released pending next-of-kin notification. There was no word on other injuries.
State police continue to investigate the crash.
