Centreville Man Charged With Hit and Run

Santos Martinez Guzman, of Centreville, also faces charges of attempted malicious wounding and brandishing a weapon.

A Centreville man was arrested after he showed a gun, rammed an acquaintance's car and forced him to drive into a ditch, Prince William County Police said.

Santos Martinez Guzman, 27, of Graymont Dr in Centreville, faces an array of charges related to the alleged hit and run that took place on the evening of July 3rd. An acquaintance said that Guzman had confronted him at the 7-Eleven near Maplewood Drive and Old Centreville Rd in Manassas. He was reportedly angry over a "recurring issue," police said. When the victim drove off down Old Centreville Rd, Guzman followed him, police said, then displayed a handgun.

Guzman then rammed into the man's vehicle several times, which caused him to lose control and run into a ditch. However, a witness saw the tag number on his license and reported it to the police. Fairfax County Police then arrested Guzman at his Centreville home, thanks in part to a witness who saw his license plate tags.
