The Centreville Regional Library opened at its present location on the grounds of the DeBell Farm, one of the area’s last dairy farms. on May 18, 1992. A storefront library had existed in the Newgate Shopping Center since 1970, but the rapid growth of western Fairfax County required a new, larger branch in the early 1990s.
Today, each month 29,000 people walk through the doors of the Centreville Regional Library and check out more than 55,000 items.
