Centreville residents Rick Schwartz took third place and Vanessa Doerpinghaus won second in their individual categories at Aol’s second Spring Into Summer 5K and Fun Run.
Doerpinghaus, 14, Centreville, placed second at 30:17.5 in her group of women age 14 to 17. Schwartz, 36, won third place in the overall men's race at 18:47.3.
Proceeds benefit Loudoun Youth Inc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to coordinate community resources to assist in the development of youth programs and to create leadership opportunities for young people.
