Centreville Residents Sound Off on Snow Plowing

How have the roads in your neighborhood fared during the blizzard? Find out what your neighbors said on Facebook.

As of Sunday, Winter Storm Jonas brought over two feet of snow to a majority of towns across Virginia. Due to the large totals, Governor McAuliffe has closed state offices Monday.

Metro is also planning limited service, and the VA Police have reported that more than 2,000 drivers needed assistance during the blizzard.

We asked Patch readers if they were happy with the plowing done their block, and if the plows had made it there yet. Here’s what you said:

  • “They did a great job except for the six foot high wall of snow now at the end of my driveway. How is anyone supposed to handle that?”
  • “No plowing yet. We were told they need to bring in construction equipment to move the snow.”
  • “Great job on my street.”
  • “Yes- If you have to pay HOA, your community is responsible for plowing your streets. Mine was plowed all day Friday and Saturday.”
  • “No plowing since Friday night. My guess is that a plow won’t be enough to get us out. Heavier equipment will be needed.”
