CVHS Students Speak Before State Senate
Students initiated a bill to make texting while driving a primary offense.

Students Josh Zarger, Jason Dolinger, and Derek Mack met with State Senator George Barker in Richmond before arguing in favor of their bill before the Senate Sub-Committee. Senator Barker introduced the bill initiated by the Centreville High School Senior Class, which would make texting while driving a primary offense, allowing officers to pull a person over if they see him/her texting. These three young men were selected by the senior class to act as their representatives, and each presented stellar arguments illustrating the benefit this bill would have for all Virginians.
