Fairfax County Football Hall of Fame Honors Local Athletes

Awards will be presented at an annual banquet in March.

Football season is over, but the honors keep pouring in for Centreville-area players, coaches and cheerleaders. 

The Fairfax County Football Hall of Fame will present awards for outstanding work on March 4th to athletes from all over Fairfax and Prince William counties, including a number of whom have connections to the Centreville area.

  • Football Hall of Fame 2012 Inductee—Tom Verbanic, former head football coach
  • High School Player of the Year, Concorde District—,
  • High School Coach of the Year, Division VI—, Centreville High
  • Youth Player of the Year, 125 lb American—Kyle Richbourg,
  • Youth Player of the Year, 150 lb American—Tyler Scanlon, Southwestern Youth Association
  • Cheerleaders of the Year—Samantha Culin and Graciela Perez, Southwestern Youth Association

Each will be honored at an annual banquet held at the on March 4th. One cheerleader and three graduating high school seniors chosen out of all the student honorees will receive a $1,500 scholarship. For tickets to the banquet, visit www.FCYFL.org
