Feds: Man Arranged Fake Marriage for Salon 'Madame'
Yong Hyon Kim, of Centreville, forfeits $29k, Mercedes, after pleading guilty to arranging a fake marriage for his girlfriend.

Inside "High Society," a Falls Church karaoke bar, scantily dressed Korean women would serve drinks and flirt with men in private rooms as the customers consumed $300 bottles of wine.
The club was shut down after federal prosecutors brought charges against those involved in its operation. In court documents, they said that the owners and others involved would take papers from the servers, who were often illegal immigrants, to prevent them from leaving. High Society's "madame," as prosecutors described her, was an illegal alien, Young Mi Kim, 41, of Falls Church.
This week, her boyfriend, Yong Hyon Kim, 50, of Centreville, pleaded guilty to helping her obtain a fake marriage to stay in the United States.

A permanent resident of the U.S. and owner of the 395 Collision Center in Springfield, Yong Hyon Kim asked his general manager to marry the girlfriend, prosecutors said. Then, he misled immigration officials about the true state of the marriage.
As part of a sentencing agreement, Kim agreed to pay "over $29,000 and the Mercedes that he used to transport his girlfriend," prosecutors said. He will be sentenced on April 13th, 2012, and could spend up to 10 years in prison.
