Fire Blotter: Six Homes Evacuated Following Natural Gas Leak
Incident took place Wednesday morning, just off ODay and Stone Road.

A natural gas leak on Wednesday morning forced residents from six townhouses on Raina Drive to evacuate their homes.
There was some work going on in the backyard of one of the residences and the workers hit a gas line, said Captain Willie Bailey, of the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department. The line broke, and local firefighters, including the HazMat unit, responded to the incident just off ODay Drive.
"Gas was spewing from the hole…Within an hour and a half or so, they had it under control and started letting people back in," Bailey said.
