Five Things to Know in Centreville This Week

1. Statewide tornado drill: The Virginia Dept. of Emergency Management and the National Weather Service will host a statewide tornado drill on Tuesday at 9:45 a.m. Fairfax County has more information on how to participate available online.

4. Summer arts: , the Elementary Institute for the Arts. The program is an affiliate of FCPS' Institute for the Arts and is open to students currently in grades 3-5. Both programs wil be held at Lake Braddock Secondary School. Classes will include things such as world drumming, jazz dance, sculptural play and more.

5. Free Italian ice: is to celebrate the first day of spring. Those who want to upgrade to a gelati can do so for $1.98.
