Former Top College Softball Player to Speak on Overcoming Tragedy

Former top college softball player Reba Tutt will speak to Centreville High School softball players Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Centreville High School softball field. 

The public is invited to attend. Author Hannah Safren will also be on hand to sign copies of her book about Tutt, "Dive: the life and fight of Reba Tutt."

Inspired by former University of Pittsburgh and National Pro Fastpitch softball player Reba Tutt, “Dive” details her incredible discovery of what it means to truly feel alive.

A February court date, dissecting the murder of Reba’s older sister Ari, fuels an array of painful flashbacks and unstitches nearly seven years of healing. With just a few months before her college graduation, Reba finds herself consumed by the past, lost in the present and hesitant for the future.

With the support from University of Pittsburgh basketball player and long-time boyfriend Ronnie, the guidance of her father, and the need to keep her final promise to her mother, Reba learns what it means to accept and persevere through life’s many tragedies.
