Former Teacher Gets Jail Time
Brian White, of Haymarket, sentenced to 360 days in jail; all but six suspended.

A former teacher was recently convicted of and served jail time for three misdemeanor charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, court records show.
Brian White, 32, of Haymarket, a social studies teacher who was employed at the school since 2002, was on felony charges of indecent liberties with a child by an adult in a supervisory position. The victim, a student under his care, was about 16 years old in 2007 and 2008, when the incidents took place, Fairfax County Police said at the time. She has since graduated.
Those charges were later amended to the misdemeanors, according to Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court records. At the end of March, he was sentenced to 360 days in jail on one of the charges, with 354 days suspended. For another two charges, he was placed on 12 months probation. A fourth felony charge was dismissed. The judge also ordered that White not hold a teaching position of any kind while on probation.
