G&C Tire & Auto Offers 'Pie' Special on Pi Day
Everyone who comes in for service will get a piece of pie.

How about a slice of pie on Pi Day?
G&C Tire & Auto Service in Chantilly is offering a slice of pie along with some friendly service on Thursday, to celebrate Pi Day.
Pi is the mathematical constant representing the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter, the symbol of which is the Greek letter pi. William Jones first used the symbol pi to represent this ratio, a ratio which is constant for all circles. The usage was later popularized by Swiss mathematician Leonhard Euler in 1737, according to the Pi Day website.

Pi Day, officially recognized by the United States House of Representatives in 2009, not only celebrates pi, but is also a day during which schools and educators are encouraged to promote the study of mathematics.
Anyone can come in from 6:30-6p.m. to grab a slice of pie while they wait. G&C will also offer state inspections for $3.14, a savings of $12.86 off the regular price.
