Saturday: St. John's Fun Run and 5K Walk in Historic Centreville

For some fun family entertainment, stop by St. John's Episcopal Church in the heart of the Centreville historic district Saturday. 

The church will host its first ever 5k walk and fun run from 9 a.m.-noon. After the run, there will be free face painting, a moonbounce, prizes and carnival games. Registration for the fun run costs $20 a person or $30 per family.

This is an all-ages, just-for-fun, self-timed event, not a race. The goal is to promote fellowship while raising funds to benefit the restoration and preservation of the historic church, which was founded in 1850.
